Metal L@BS

The Metallurgy Group at the University of Brescia oversees a wide range of teaching and research activities, primarily within the fields of mechanical metallurgy, metallurgical technologies, and metallurgical plants and processes.

Particular emphasis is placed on studying the relationships between chemical composition, thermal and mechanical treatment parameters, and the microstructure of metallic materials, as well as the correlation between microstructure and material behavior under mechanical and other stresses during service. Significant attention is also devoted to plant engineering aspects and the influence of different process variables on the production of metal components.
