The RE-WHITE project aims to transform white slags from secondary metallurgy into new resources for industry. The initiative brings together companies and universities to develop innovative technologies capable of reducing landfill disposal, lowering CO₂ emissions, and valorizing steelmaking by-products in the steel, construction, rubber, and environmental sectors. A concrete step toward a more circular and competitive economy.
The NAARA project addresses the valorization of end-of-life aluminum through a vision that covers the entire industrial cycle: from component management to the development of more effective disassembly and quality control solutions, up to the production and industrial validation of new high recycled Al-Si alloys. The goal is to increase the amount of recovered aluminum while improving its quality, promoting component reuse and remanufacturing, generating a tangible impact on emission reduction in the automotive sector.
The objective of Spoke 11 within the MOST project is to identify innovative and/or alternative materials to traditional ones, capable of enabling vehicle lightweighting, with a specific focus on sustainability, recyclability, and reuse. This is pursued through the implementation of more efficient manufacturing processes, in compliance with Life Cycle Assessment principles, and through the development of design methodologies based on structural optimization for lightweight eco-design.
